Wrapping Paper Sheet: Garthwaite, Blue

Inspired by the queen of 18th-century silk pattern, Anna Maria Garthwaite, this watercolour floral evokes the chintzes of my childhood. Garthwaite's designs were often created in wild colour palettes to make them clearer to the weavers, but they feel way ahead of their time as a result. Here, the moodiness of the teal anchors the prettiness of the florals.
